Welcome to John Christopher Construction

John Christopher Construction is an Orange County based general contractor founded by John Frize and Chris Manos. What started as a lean operation has grown into a full-service construction company built around one simple idea — when a client hires JCC, they get one team that handles everything. No finger pointing between trades. No chasing down subs. No excuses. Just organized, accountable construction delivered by people who take pride in their work.

We are Southern California natives who care deeply about our reputation, and we earn it one project at a time.

Most contractors manage a project by coordinating a network of independent subcontractors. We took a different approach. Over the years we have built out in-house licensed divisions across the core trades, and we continue to grow that capability every year. Today, when you hire JCC, your project is supported by:

Our in-house C10 Electrical division gives clients added confidence throughout the construction process. By self-performing key electrical scopes, we can improve coordination, scheduling, quality control, and accountability on ADUs, additions, remodels, tenant improvements, and commercial construction projects. This licensed electrical capability helps reduce delays, streamline communication between trades, and ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with California building standards.

Our in-house C36 Plumbing division supports projects that require careful planning around kitchens, bathrooms, utility connections, water lines, waste lines, and fixture installation. Our project manager, Travis Clark, made our experience during this remodel so great. His efficiency, knowledge, and professionalism were off the charts. He set reasonable expectations for our timeline and was able to complete our project early which we could not believe. Having all the crew in house and not subcontracted made the biggest difference. John Christopher Construction built an ADU to my exact specifications, worked with me on a daily basis, and brought the project to completion in the budget allotted. Ours was not an easy build due to the fact that we had to excavate quite a bit as the ADU was build in to a hillside and near a slope to the rear of my property. If I had to focus on one thing, it would without question be communication. I was assigned a job foreman who guided me through the entire process, listened to my needs, provided me feedback, and helped me along the way with all the little changes that arose during the build. We made a few changes along the way and we were given clear communication of the requested change, as well as a fixed price for the change. The use of sub contractors is a part of any build and each of the contractors selected were respectful of my property and my neighbors, did an above average job, and were a compliment to John Christopers team. I would advise anyone considering an accessory dwelling unit to choose this contractor for the project. We spent a lot of time selecting the right contractor and were even led astray by a few. I can honestly say from my perspective, there’s no-one better suited to build a detached ADU than John Christopher Construction. Before choosing John Christopher, we viewed several of their builds in process as well as spoke to some of their employees and customers. We would be happy to host potential customers as the pictures I am attaching to the review don’t even come close to doing the ADU credit.
